Instructions
Comb the hair on the Morkie's head backward -- toward the tail -- and cut it even with the height of the dog's ears. Part the hair on the head in the middle and comb it downward. Cut a straight line between the ears and the eyes all the way around the dog's head.
Shave the dog's neck and body with a #5 blade. Do not shave the throat, the tail or the legs. Leave full, rounded arches around the Morkie's legs to give a long-legged appearance.
Shave the sides of the dog's head, the throat, the stomach and the rear end with a
blade. To avoid nappy hair, you may also shave the inside of each leg down a few inches from the body.
Shave around and between the dog's eyes with a #5/8 blade. Avoid the muzzle. Use the scissors to contour the hair on top of the dog's head into a pleasing shape. Leave the hair a bit longer toward the back for a stylish look.
Comb the hair on the muzzle straight down and trim it to about 3/4 inch long. Comb the beard down and trim it so it lines up with the dog's mustache.
Hold the ears out and cut the hair on the ears close to the ear edges, following the natural shape of the dog's ears. Hold the tail away from the dog's body and cut the hair a few inches from the tail.
Trim the hair on the Morkie's legs to a manageable length. Cut the dog's nails and scissor-cut the hair around the feet.
