Things You'll Need
- Vegetable oil

Apply cornstarch to the affected area. Let the cornstarch sit for at least five minutes. The application of the starch will absorb any excess oil left on the fur.
Use a wide-toothed comb or dog brush to removed the majority of the cornstarch from your dog's fur.
Lather your dog's fur thoroughly with a degreasing liquid dish soap. Be sure that the entire affected area has had soap applied.
Rinse your dog until all Vaseline has been removed. Repeat if necessary.
