Instructions
Bathe your poodle using a shampoo made specifically for dogs. Bathing helps to remove dirt that may have gotten stuck in your poodle's coat. Bathe your poodle no more than once a month to prevent drying up the natural oils in the fur that lend it that glossy shine.
Condition your poodle's coat with a high quality pet conditioner that contains mink oil. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for use and recommendations on how often to use it.
Brush out the poodles fur with a brush to remove knots and tangles. Brushing your poodle's coat spreads the natural oils around and improves the skins circulation. Brush your poodle often, at least every other day, to maintain a shiny coat.
Feed your poodle a dog food that contains omega-3 or omega-6. Both of these essential fatty acids play an important role in healthy skin and hair.
Take your poodle to a professional groomer every one to two months. Regular trimming of the coat is essential to keep it from becoming too thick.
