How to Use a Dog Rake

Dog rakes resemble gardening rakes but are smaller, handy, and efficiently remove loose matted hair from the coats of shedding dogs. Thinning and dematting rakes remove hair from the top coat while metal rakes with two sets of teeth remove hair from the undercoat. Dogs shed from time to time, and the loose hair makes the dog uncomfortable and your home untidy. Use rakes to remove loose hair from the coat and undercoat of your dog to keep your pup feeling good during the shedding process.
