Things You'll Need
- Pet nail clippers
- Baking soda
- Vinegar
- Pet shampoo
Instructions
Hold the dog's paw carefully and clip the fur around the paw pads. Use pet trimming clippers to do this. This will help remove sweat accumulation. Do the same with the other paws.
Clip the dog's nails with the clippers to keep bacteria from returning. Be careful and make sure you don't clip too far down on the nail. Switch paws and clip the nails on all other paws.
Put the dog in the bathtub. Fill the tub just enough to soak his paws. Add two tablespoons of baking soda to the water. Wet the dog's paws with water and wash each paw methodically with vinegar. Allow its paws to soak for several minutes, before rinsing them well. This helps eliminate the smell.
Fill the bathtub with water and wash the dog thoroughly with pet shampoo. Pay special attention to all four paws. This will remove any sweat and bacterial remnants.
