Things You'll Need
- Wet dog shampoo
- Dog hair brush
- Dog scrub brush
- 5 to 10 dry towels
- Dry dog shampoo
Instructions
Brush the dog's hair normally to remove larger particles of dirt or debris. Make sure the dog is calm. Lead the dog into a full bathtub. Pet the dog and make sure it becomes acclimated to the water.
Add a generous amount of dog shampoo to the water. Use the scrub brush to mix up the water until it becomes full of suds. Collect the suds on the brush and begin to gently wash the fur of the dog in slow movements. Concentrate on the stained area of dog fur. Apply slightly more pressure to stained area, but do not be rough with the animal.
Apply more dog shampoo directly to the stained area. Use the scrub brush to work the stain out of the fur. Rinse off the dog with luke-warm water. Dry off the dog with several clean, dry towels.
Apply dry dog shampoo to stained area, if the stain is persistent.
