Things You'll Need
- Peanut butter
- Pet hair comb
- Paper towels
- Dog shampoo
Instructions
Apply creamy peanut butter to the gum stuck in your dog's fur. Rub the peanut butter into the chewing gum and surrounding fur. The oils in the peanut butter help to break down the stickiness of the gum.
Leave the peanut butter in the dog hair for a few minutes to loosen the gum.
Pick the gum out with a wide-toothed dog comb. As gum is removed, wipe it off on a paper towel. Continue to remove the gum with the comb and your fingers until all of the gum substance is removed.
Wet your dog's fur and shampoo it with dog shampoo to remove any remaining sticky residue, along with oil residue from the peanut butter.
