Things You'll Need
- Anti-odor dog shampoo
- Baking soda
- Cornstarch
- Water
Instructions
Mix one part baking soda, one part cornstarch and one part water. This mixture will create a paste that you will use to rub in the areas where the dog smells like cat urine. Take your dog to the bathtub or the area where you usually bathe it.
Wet your dog thoroughly. Apply the paste you mixed in the affected areas and rub into its coat. The cornstarch and baking soda will help neutralize the odor of cat urine.
Remove the paste with water. Massage the paste out of your dog's coat with the water. Make sure to be thorough when getting the paste out.
Apply a quality anti-odor dog shampoo on your dog's coat. Make sure to get enough shampoo on the areas that smell like cat urine. Massage the shampoo into your dog's coat.
Rinse the dog's coat thoroughly with water to remove the shampoo. Apply shampoo a second time, if necessary, and rinse. Make sure to get all the shampoo out of your dog's coat.
Dry your dog with a towel.
