How to Remove Dog Hair From Bedspread

If you consider your dog a family member, as many people do, it can be difficult to keep him off of your bed at night. As much as you may enjoy having your canine companion share the bed with you, all of the dog hair that gets left behind can be a nuisance. Don't kick your dog off of the bed just yet. Remove the dog hair from your bedspread with the help of different cleaning aids such as a lint roller, damp cloth, or dryer.

Instructions

  1. Damp Cloth

    • 1

Wet a clean cloth with water until it is damp.

    • 2

Wipe the damp cloth over the entire bedspread, one section at a time. Move the damp cloth in the same direction throughout use. The dog hair should be pulled into one area.

    • 3

Clean and re-dampen your cloth as needed until all dog hair has been removed from your bedspread.

    Lint Roller

    • 4

Uncover a fresh piece of tape on your lint roller.

    • 5

Roll the lint roller back and forth across the entire bedspread, one section at a time. If the lint roller becomes completely covered in dog hair it no longer collects hair. If this occurs, remove the hair-covered piece and start with a new, fresh piece.

    • 6

Repeat steps 1 and 2 until all of the dog hair has been removed from your bedspread.

    Dryer

    • 7

Put your dry, dog-hair-covered bedspread in your dryer with a dryer sheet and shut the door.

    • 8

Run the dryer on "air" or a gentle cycle. Only run the dryer for three to five minutes.

    • 9

Remove your bedspread from the dryer. Rearrange the bedspread and place it back into the dryer.

    • 10

Repeat steps 1 through 3 until all of the dog hair is gone from your bedspread.
