Insert the plug-in transformer into the socket on the bottom of the clippers; then insert the other end into a power supply. This allows the clippers to function in corded mode. For cordless mode, ensure that the clipper's battery is fully charged. On a full charge, the device operates for about 100 minutes. In either mode, use the "On/Off" switch on the front of the device to begin or stop trimming.

Charge the battery by connecting the plug-in transformer to the charging stand, or connect the device directly to the plug-in transformer. A chime sounds to indicate that charging has begun. The LED lights on the device remain fully lit when the device is fully charged, which may take two and a half hours. The device should only be charged when all of the LED lights go out, indicating that only 10 percent power remains.

Change the cutting length adjustment by moving the switch to the desired position. Cutting length ranges from 0.7 to 3 millimeters. Use the attachment comb by sliding it on to the blade-set in the direction of the arrow. Push it in the direction of the arrow again to remove it.

Switch the device off to change the blade set. Remove the current blade set by sliding it in the direction of the arrow. Position the new blade set with its hook in the housing slot and press it until it clicks in place.

Clean the clippers only with a damp cloth. Never use solvents or chemical cleaners. Remove the attachment comb after every use in order to clean out trapped hair. Oil the blade often to keep it in good condition and replace the blade once performance has noticeably worsened.
