- Vegetable-based food coloring
- 1-gallon bucket
- Warm water
- Spoon
- Vinegar
- Latex gloves
- Plastic drop cloth
- Small sponge
- Brush
- Hair dryer
- Cotton swab
Instructions
Fill a 1-gallon bucket with warm water. Add 3 drops of your preferred color of food coloring and 1/3 cup of vinegar to the water. Mix with a spoon. Set aside.
Brush your poodle's coat to remove any knots or tangles.
Cover your hands with a pair of latex gloves and cover your workspace with a plastic drop cloth to avoid staining or water damage.
Dip the sponge in the dye solution and dab it all over your poodle's coat, starting with the head and finishing with the tail. Repeat this process to dye your poodle's legs.
Dye the face last, using small cotton balls dipped in the dye solution. Dye the eye area using cotton swabs dipped in the dye solution.
Leave the dye solution on the coat for 45 minutes. Rinse your poodle's coat with water. Towel dry.
Blow the coat dry with a hair dryer. Always use the "Low" setting when blow-drying a dog's fur.
