Instructions
Place your dog in a tub, and rinse its coat with warm water. Massage a handful of dog shampoo into the coat until the shampoo lathers, while avoiding the dog's eyes. Wash the shampoo out of its coat with warm water, and massage a dog conditioner into the coat.
Rinse the conditioner out of its coat, and remove the dog from the tub. Blot the dog's coat with a towel to remove excess moisture, and do not rub the coat as it can cause tangles.
Spray a detangling solution into your palms and rub the solution onto the dog's legs and muzzle. Be sure to avoid getting the solution in your dog's eyes. Comb out the hair on its legs using a medium-toothed comb to remove any tangles. Gently comb the hair in the direction of the dog's hair growth to avoid snags.
Blow dry your dog's coat with a cool setting to quickly dry the hair and keep the coat fluffy. Run the medium-toothed comb through the coat while blow drying to smooth the coat.
Attach the No. 10 clip comb to the electric clippers, and run the clippers down the dog's legs to trim the hair. Carefully trim around the anus.
Remove the clip comb from the electric clippers, and attach a No. 40 clip comb to the clippers. Carefully trim the face with the clippers in the direction of the hair growth.
Blow dry the dog's legs and face with the blow dryer on a cool setting to remove the hair clippings from its face and legs.
