Blot up as much of the urine with paper towels or rags first. This makes the remaining steps much easier. Then combine 3 parts hot water with 1 part apple cider vinegar. You can do this right in your washer, or use a pail or sink. Soak the clothing in the solution for a half hour to an hour. Finally, wash your clothing as you normally would with regular laundry detergent .

If you soaked your clothing in your washer, just add the detergent to the water and launder. The vinegar will ensure that the smell gets completely pulled out. If you soaked your clothing in a bucket or sink, add apple cider vinegar to the washer when you launder your clothing.
