Instructions
Remove the large clumps of fur from the couch. Put on a pair of regular cleaning rubber gloves. Use your gloved hands to "sweep" up all of the fur from your furniture. The rubber will help to attract the fur and catch in large clumps.
Remove the smaller, individual pieces of fur. Run a lint brush or roller over the entire furniture. This works to remove all---or almost all---of the fur. If you still see a few hairs left behind, move on to the duct tape. Take a long strand of duct tape and place it across one area of the furniture. Press the tape down with your hands and pull the tape up. The tape will remove all leftover fur.
Blot pet stains using a dry piece of paper towel. This will remove as much excess liquid as possible. When finished, soak another sheet of paper towel and repeat the blotting several times.
Sprinkle 1/4 cup of baking soda on the stained area. Pour another 1/4 cup of laundry detergent on top of the baking soda. Use a cleaning cloth that's been saturated in cool water to scrub the cleaning solutions into the stain. When thoroughly clean, pour some cool water over the stain to rinse the solutions. Use a towel to blot up the water.
Eliminate the odor. The fur may be gone and the stain may be cleaned, but the odor may still linger. Purchase an odor eliminating spray, not just an air freshener. The odor eliminating spray will kill the airborne bacteria, making your home smell fresh.
