How to Wash a Dog Without Water

Taking your dog out for a hike or to the neighborhood park allows him to enjoy the outdoors with you and get much-needed exercise. But after one of these outings, your dog may end up caked in dirt and debris, and smelling much like the outdoors. Before your dog hops back into the car, you can get him clean by using a dog cleaning kit that does not require you to be near a water source or have dog shampoo on hand.

Instructions

    • 1

If your dog is muddy and wet, dry him off with a clean towel.

    • 2

Brush the dog thoroughly. This physically loosens and removes the dirt for easier cleaning with the wipes.

    • 3

Use moistened pet wipes made for dogs to wipe down your dog from head to tail. Depending on the size of your dog and how dirty he is, you may need to use several wipes.

    • 4

Use pet wipes specifically made to clean around the eyes to clean the dirt and drainage around the eye. Be careful not to wipe directly inside the eye.
