Scoop 1 to 2 tbsp. of creamy peanut butter onto your fingers.
Work the peanut butter into the area where the gum is stuck with your fingers. Continue working the oil of the peanut butter into the gum to loosen the gum from the fur.

Apply warm water to the gum area after you remove all of the gum. Add a small dollop of shampoo to the fur and work the shampoo into a lather to remove the peanut butter residue.
Rinse the dog's fur well with water to remove the shampoo.
