Instructions
Have your pet fixed. Dog dander is greater in male dogs that are not neutered.
Bathe your dog once each week with a shampoo designed to reduce dog dander.
Wipe your dog's coat with a damp cloth a couple of times each day.
Vacuum your home regularly to remove pet hair and dander from carpets and furniture. Use a HEPA filtered vacuum cleaner.
Groom your dog regularly. Have your dog professionally groomed every month or two.
Confine your dog to one room in the house so that the dander isn't spread throughout the residence.
Prepare a place for your dog to sleep outside of the bedroom of the family member who is allergic to dog dander.
Feed your dog a good diet. Dogs who have proper nutrition shed less. Discuss with your veterinarian the best diet to meet all of your dog's needs.
Replace cloth curtains, blinds and carpeted floors. All of these trap dander in your home.
Run a HEPA filtered air purifier in your home.
