Things You'll Need
- Ice
- Safety pin
- Peanut butter
- Mayonnaise
Instructions
Hold a few cubes of ice to the gum to freeze it. The gum will be very hard when it has completely frozen.
Peel the gum away from the dog's fur using your fingers. Hold the root of the fur in place while peeling away the gum so as to prevent your dog from feeling any pain. Try carefully using a safety pin to help separate the fur from the gum. Apply more ice to re-freeze the gum if it begins to thaw.
Apply peanut butter or mayonnaise to the fur if any gum remains. Rub the peanut butter or mayonnaise into your dog's fur to help loosen the gum. It may take a while to completely remove all of the gum residue.
