How to Use Johnson Baby Products on Puppies

Johnson's baby products are very gentle on both human and animal skin. Johnson's Head-to-Toe Baby Wash is specially formulated for cleaning tough dirt and grime on skin and in hair, while also remaining gentle and a non-eye irritant. In addition, many groomers use Johnson's baby wash regularly to help kill and prevent fleas. The liquid baby wash suffocates fleas and kills them immediately, while also killing and washing off any eggs that have been laid by fleas as well. Johnson's Baby Powder can also help clear up skin rashes on your pets (such as on their belly or leg), just as it is effective in healing diaper rash in babies.

Instructions

    • 1

Take your puppy outdoors (if it is warm enough) or into the tub and run a lukewarm bath.

    • 2

Lather your puppy from head to rump with about 6 to 8 pumps (about 6 to 8 tbsp.) of Johnson's Head-to-Toe Baby Wash, being sure to get his entire coat and underbelly.

    • 3

Rinse the soap off of your puppy thoroughly, being sure to wash her entire coat.

    • 4

Dry your puppy off with a towel and then brush his coat well with a dog brush or, if he has fleas, with a flea brush. A flea brush has much finer bristles that will catch and remove any fleas (dead or alive) caught in your puppy's hair.

    • 5

Check your puppy for any skin rashes on her underbelly or legs. This can be caused by unsanitary living conditions or an allergic reaction to a chemical or fabric she was preciously exposed to.

    • 6

Apply 2 to 3 tbsp. Johnson's Baby Powder to any rash areas on your puppy's skin. Apply the powder 2 to 3 times a day to help clear the rash up quickly. The baby powder will help soak up any wetness on the skin and alleviate any itching and irritation your pet may be feeling in that area.
