What Is Malaseb?

Malaseb is a series of products designed for the skin care of dogs, cats and horses. It is used to treat various disorders, including ringworm. The Malaseb brand comes in a shampoo, spray, applicator pads and in a water-based rinse.

  1. Malaseb Shampoo

    • Malaseb Shampoo is a shampoo that kills fungus and yeast. It is also used to treat dermatitis in dogs, cats and horses. It removes scales, degreases the skin and kills tiny organisms that can cause or lead to dermatitis. It contains no artificial coloring or perfumes, so as not to further irritate the skin or damage the coat.

    Malaseb Spray

    • Malaseb Spray is for use between baths and is meant to target a small and specific area as part of a routine to kill yeast and problematic microbes. Like Malaseb Shampoo, it contains no perfumes or artificial colorings, and it contains fatty acids that help maintain the skin.

    Malaseb Pledgets

    • Malaseb Pledgets resemble astringent pads used by people who suffer from acne. Like Malaseb Spray, they are for use between baths and on a specific target area. They are handy for applying the key ingredients directly to the infected skin, and can be used in areas that are difficult to reach, such as in between claws or folds of skin.
      Additionally, they contain Vitamin E for exfoliation, skin protection and nourishment.

    Malaseb Flush

    • Malaseb Flush is a water-based solution used prior to the use of other medications. It is gentle and can be used as often as needed. Like other Malaseb products, it contains no perfumes or artificial colors.

    Warnings

    • Stop use of Malaseb if irritation develops. Malaseb is not to be used by humans or on any animal except for dogs, cats and horses.
