How to Make Hair Bows for Dogs

Little girls and female dogs have one thing in common: they look adorable in bows. When people take their dogs to the groomers, sometimes they come out with cute bows on their ears. You can make these bows at home and make your dog a fashionista any day of the year.

Instructions

    • 1

Place small rubber bands on a flat surface.

    • 2

Cut your ribbons about 4 inches long. Cut the same amount of ribbons as you have rubber bands. If you have two rubber bands, cut two ribbons. If you want a double bow that incorporates different colors, cut two different colored ribbons per rubber band.

    • 3

Put the rubber bands in the centers of the ribbons and fold the ribbons up.

    • 4

Tie a bow. Make sure the folded portion and the loose ends are even. Cut the loose ends at an angle.

    • 5

Heat your glue gun. Place spots of glue on the backs of the pearl beads or silk flowers, whichever you choose, and place them on the centers of the bows. Let the glue dry.

Put the ribbons in the dog's fur as you would put your hair in a ponytail. Make sure the bow is straight and visible.
