How to Make Natural Dog Shampoo

Unlike cats, dogs need to be groomed and cleaned regularly. Their fur needs a good shampoo, which can be done at a salon, at home with a dog shampoo or at home with a homemade shampoo. Homemade shampoo is ideal because you are not using any unnecessary chemicals. Homemade shampoos can also save you money.

Instructions

    • 1

Pour 2 cups of Ivory dish soap in a medium-sized bowl. Ivory is not as harsh as other soaps, which could dry out your dog's skin.

    • 2

Add 2 cups of water and 2 cups of apple cider vinegar. Stir until combined.

    • 3

Add 1/2 cup of glycerine. You can find glycerine at most pharmacies, usually next to the rubbing alcohol and hydrogen peroxide. Again, mix until all of the ingredients are combined.

    • 4

Open an old shampoo bottle and stick a funnel in the top. Pour the dog shampoo into the funnel to fill up the shampoo bottle. Close the lid.

    • 5

Write your dog's name on a sticky label and place it on the bottle, so you don't confuse it with your shampoo.
