How to Remove Skunk Smell From Your Pet's Fur

  • Pet Shampoo

      Talk to your pet and try to keep them as calm as possible. Place our pet in a tub, preferably outside (weather permitting). Pour canned tomato juice on your pet to completely cover its fur. Wearing rubber gloves, rub the tomato juice into your pet's fur. Leave the tomato juice on your pet for a few minutes, if possible. Rinse off the tomato juice.

      Next, scrub your pet with a generous amount of the pet shampoo of your choice. Be sure to massage the shampoo in extra well before rinsing.

      Pour a generous amount of bottled lemon juice to the rinse water. Rinse your pet well with the lemon water. Be certain to remove all of the pet shampoo from your pet's fur. Repeat the rinse if desired. Rub your pet with a dry towel.
