Things You'll Need
- Adjustable grooming table
- Measuring tape
- Pliers
- Screwdriver
Instructions
Measure the height you need for your grooming table. Grooming tables are normally adjusted to fit the height of the groomer, so the taller the groomer, the taller the table needs to be. The platform of the table should fit even with your waist area to ensure ease when grooming your dog.
Remove the arm of your grooming table. You will need to invert your table to properly adjust the legs. Remove the arm to avoid damage to vital table parts when moving the legs.
Invert your grooming table. Set the platform of the table flat on the ground to allow you easier access when adjusting the legs.
Loosen the screws or clamps for the legs on your grooming table. You can use pliers or a screwdriver, if necessary, to adjust the screws. Be sure that the screws are loose, but not so loose that they fall out.
Adjust each leg to the correct height. Move the leg up or down accordingly, then retighten the clamps or screws.
Turn the table back over and check the height of the platform. Be sure that the platform is level and that all four table legs are adjusted to an even height.
Place your dog on the grooming table to assure that the table has been properly adjusted. The grooming table should sit tall enough so that you do not have to bend or stoop to groom your dog. Remove the dog and readjust the legs if necessary.
