How to Bathe a Shiba Inu

  • Bathtub
  • Dog

  • Dog Shampoo or Baby shampoo

      Run luke warm water in tub, a few inches at most.

      Shibas are often adverse to water, so you may have to pick up your dog to put in tub. Probably will not jump in of their own volition.

      Wet the dog down by pouring or spraying water gently on dog. This may take a good bit of water, as Shibas have double layers of fur. It is best to rub it in the fur before applying the soap to make sure the dog is soaked.
