Instructions

    • 1

Purchase latex bands from a pet store or dog groomer to use for the holder of the bow. Orthodontic bands can work if the solid latex bands are not available. These bands come in various sizes, even though all of them are small. You will need the tiniest ones for your more petite dog bows.

Cut a piece of ribbon approximately 8 to 10 inches in length. You are going to have to use a ribbon with a width that is very thin, as these bands are very small.

    • 3

Loop the ribbon through the latex band and tie a snug knot to hold the ribbon to the band.

    • 4

Make the bow or tie the bow. Add a few drops of fabric glue around the knot or tie area to keep the bow from untying.

    • 5

Attach the bow to the dog's hair by pulling a small strand or section of the dog's hair away from the other hair. Smooth this strand out, so there are no knots in it. Loop the latex band part of the dog bow around the hair strand and pull down to where the bow looks appropriate.

Decorate the doggie bow with rhinestones that you can glue or sew on to give a little extra glitz for your pampered pouch.
