How to Groom a Bearded Collie

Bearded Collies can be playful, silly, naughty, adorable and a handful to maintain. If you aren't interested in a frequent, complex grooming routine, then this isn't the dog for you.       Remove excess feces which may have become trapped by long hair around the anus before bathing the dog.

      Brush and comb the dog thoroughly before bathing.

      Fluff the dog's hair dry for the best effect. Don't cage dry Bearded Collies. Once dry, comb the dog's hair again to a satisfactory finish.

      Scissor the feet evenly after drying. Use thinning shears on the neck and the back if desired.

      Comb hair on the chest downwards towards the grooming table.
