Things You'll Need
- Hand sanitizer
- Fine-toothed comb
- Cooking spray or oil
- Baby oil
- Conditioner
- Shampoo
- Rubber gloves
Instructions
Put on rubber gloves to protect your hands, if putty is a skin irritant.
Pour some hand sanitizer on the putty in your dog's fur. Hand sanitizer works to dissolve most types of putty. Use a fine-toothed comb to work it out of the fur.
Spray cooking spray or rub cooking oil into the fur where the putty is. Oils can loosen the putty from fur. Use a fine-toothed comb to remove the remaining pieces.
Bathe your dog, rubbing baby oil into the putty. A large amount of conditioner works to loosen putty as well. Wash the fur with shampoo and rinse with warm water.
