How do Ligers breath?

Ligers breathe just like any other cat! They have the same respiratory system as lions and tigers, which means they breathe air through their nostrils, into their lungs, and then exhale.

Here's how it works:

* Inhaling: Air enters the liger's nostrils, passes through the nasal passages, and then into the trachea (windpipe).

* Lungs: The trachea branches into two bronchi, which lead to the lungs. The lungs are made up of tiny air sacs called alveoli, where oxygen from the air is exchanged for carbon dioxide from the blood.

* Exhaling: The carbon dioxide-rich air travels back up the bronchi, trachea, and nasal passages and is expelled through the nostrils.

The liger's large size might make you think they need more oxygen, but their lungs are proportionally sized to their body, allowing them to breathe efficiently.
