Things You'll Need
- Washcloth
- Dog shampoo
- Moist napkins
- Medicated ointment
Instructions
Lift your bulldog into the tub and pet it until it calms down. Instruct it to sit and stay. Turn on the faucet and lightly dampen its face.
Hold a washcloth under a stream of warm water. Massage shampoo formulated for dogs into the cloth and wring it out.
Use one hand to smooth out the folds of flesh on your dog̵7;s face. Gently rub the cloth over its face, paying special attention to areas that don̵7;t see much sunlight (such as the folds on its nose and just below the eyes). Reassure your dog the whole time you work.
Fill a cup with warm water and gently rinse the bulldog̵7;s face. Shield its eyes and rub its face to clean out the soap in the folds. Don̵7;t stop rinsing until you remove all the soap.
Pat its face dry with towels. Wipe the towels into the wrinkles to ensure the whole face is dry.
Wipe out the wrinkles on your dog̵7;s face at least every other day. Do it more often if you have a particularly messy dog. Use wet napkins laced with aloe to do the regular cleaning.
Ask your doctor about special ointment for your dog̵7;s nose and eyes if you notice discoloration or irritation. Apply the ointment to your dog̵7;s face per the instructions provided with the ointment.
