Remove all food for 12 hours. Fasting helps the dog digest the food in its system. Return the food to the dog's bowl. If the dog does not eat the food, proceed to Steps 2 to 5.

    • 2

Pour one cup of Gatorade or Pedialyte with two cups of water into the dog's water bowl. Dehydration causes upset tummies and can worsen the indigestion problem.

    • 3

Feed your dog 2 tbsp. of yogurt. Yogurt contains healthy bacteria that soothe your dog's stomach.

    • 4

Feed your dog 1 tsp. of Pepto Bismol. Open your dog's mouth. Pour the Pepto Bismol directly into your dog's mouth. Let the dog drink water after ingesting the Pepto Bismol.

Insert a pea-sized amount of clay montmorillonite into your dog's mouth. It is an oral paste that is available over the counter for dogs.
