Measure 8 ounces of water warm water and pour it into a medium mixing bowl.

Add 1 teaspoon of baking soda to the water. Stir until it is evenly mixed.

Apply the mixture to a cloth and dab it onto your dog's irritated skin for 15 to 20 minutes. You can make a thicker mixture that will stay in place by using a higher concentration of baking soda and apply that to your dog's skin instead.
