      Moisturize the paws. Apply petroleum jelly to the paw padss daily until the condition clears up. You may also use aloe Applying moisture to the paws also helps to prevent cracking in the future.

      Keep the dog off of hard surfaces and limit exercise until the condition heals.

      Use dog booties to protect the paws while they are healing and to prevent injury in the future.
