How to Treat Canine Corns With Duct Tape
Corns are hard growths that appear on the feet of greyhounds and related breeds. When they appear, they are painful and can affect the dog's mobility. While it is possible to file the corn away, it tends to reappear over time. If you want to treat your dog's corns on your own, use duct tape to suffocate the growth. The other alternative is to take your dog to the veterinarian, who painlessly hulls -- or cuts -- the growth away.

Use scissors to cut a small square of duct tape that is roughly the same size as the corn.
Stick the piece of duct tape over the corn, covering it completely.
Leave the duct tape on the dog's foot throughout the day.
Remove the duct tape at night, immediately recovering it with another square of duct tape.
Repeat this process for three to four weeks. During this time, the corn will be abraded away by the duct tape. |
