Cut an additional lemon into four slices. Boil this lemon with 6 cups of water and 1 tbsp. of salt for two minutes. Remove from the heat source and allow the solution to sit for 24 hours.
Pour the solution in a spray bottle and spray on your pet daily until fleas disappear.
Natural Flea Powder
Mix 1.5 lbs. of diatomaceous earth and 1.5 lbs. of natural borax in a bowl or bucket. The diatomaceous earth contains small particles which will puncture the exoskeleton of the flea, and the borax will draw moisture from the flea. These products are available at garden centers.
Add 1 cup of salt to the mixture. The salt works with the borax to draw moisture from the flea's body.
Sprinkle the mixture anywhere that has a infestation of fleas, such as your carpet, the pet's bed and furniture.
Vacuum the mixture up in a day or two.
