Things You'll Need
- Bath tub
- Water
- Eucalyptus oil
- Towel
Instructions
Draw a bath. There is no need to fill the bath tub up to the top; simply make it deep enough so that it touches your dogs knees. Make sure there is enough water for your pet to stand in. The temperature of the water should not be too hot or cold. Make it a nice warm, comfortable temperature.
Pour some eucalyptus oil into the bath. Follow the instructions label on the bottle for amounts to use. Eucalyptus oil is an effective tick repellent and killer.
Place the dog in the bath and wet it all over. Dogs will not like water going over its head or in its ears, so steer clear of pouring directly on or around these areas. Wash the dog all over with the eucalyptus oil and water.
Remove the dog from the bath and dry rigorously with a towel. The eucalyptus oil will act as an ongoing repellent to ticks as well as kill any that are already attached.
