How to Ease Skin Rash in Dogs

Skin allergies are the leading reason pet owners take their dogs to the vet, according to Veterinary Pet Insurance. A skin allergy will present itself in the form of hives, red papules, or inflamed skin; depending on the type of allergy your pet is suffering with. Rashes can develop due to flea and tick bites, food allergies or contact with an allergen-producing object in your home. Therefore, it is important to take your dog to a veterinarian who can properly diagnose the cause of the rash. You can also take steps to ease your pup's pain at home, between doctor visits.
