Dogs, like people, require proper oral care. By brushing your dog's teeth daily you can reduce tartar buildup and prevent tooth decay and gum disease. It is simple to make a homemade toothpaste with items generally found in your kitchen; however, to maintain an optimal level of oral health for your dog, you should have your veterinarian clean its teeth annually.
