Use Frontline's Spray Dosage Calculator to determine how many pumps of spray you will need to cover your pet. You will need to input your pet's weight, choose how thick your pet's fur is, and then select the Frontline spray bottle size. Click "Calculate" and you will get the total number of pumps your pet will need to get rid of the fleas.

    • 2

Divide the total number of pumps Frontline calculated for your pet by five. You will be applying the spray to five separate areas of your pet so you need to know how much spray goes in each spot. For example, if your total was 30 pumps, you would need to spray six pumps at each of the five locations on your pet.

    • 3

Ask a friend or family member to help you hold your pet and then slide on a pair of rubber or latex gloves.

    • 4

Spray the designated amount of pumps over the pet's left side. This is the first section. Start at the left front paw and work your way up and across the left side of the pet. Finish by going down the left leg. Repeat by following the same procedure of the right side of the pet, which covers the second section.

    • 5

Spray the designated amount of pumps to the third section. This is just under the base of the skull, down the back, all the way to the tip of the pet's tail.

    • 6

Cover your pet's neck, head and face with the designated amount of pumps. This is the fourth section. Make sure you don't get any Frontline spray in the pet's eyes.

    • 7

Finish the Frontline spray application by spraying the fifth section of your pet. This covers the underside of the pet, including the groin.
