How to Use Panacur Equine Dewormer in Dogs & Cats

It is not uncommon for pets to become infested with parasites such as roundworms, hookworms, whipworms or tapeworms. When a pet is suffering from worms, it is not always necessary to take it to the vet for an expensive prescription dewormer. There are several over-the-counter dewormers --- such as Panacur C Canine &Equine Dewormers from Intervet --- that can be administered at home. This will prevent the hassle of transporting a pet to a veterinarian as well as avoiding pricey medical bills.

Chose the dewormer that is appropriate for your pet based on your pet's weight. There are three choices based on weight: 1 gram (for dogs up to 10 pounds), 2 grams (for dogs 11 to 20 pounds) and 4 grams (for larger dogs).

Mix the daily dose of Panacur with a small amount of your dog's food, making sure your dog eats all of the medicated food. The product works by inhibiting the metabolism of a variety of worms including roundworms, hookworms, whipworms and tapeworms.
