How to Certify Vaccinations for a Dog Tag in Osceola, Florida

If you move to Osceola County, Florida, from another state, or even another county in Florida, your dog's tags aren't valid. Only rabies vaccine certificates and tags approved by Osceola County Animal Control are valid, according to county ordinance. Osceola County is one of 17 counties (out of 67 total) in Florida to adopt its own charter. The charter gives Osceola County's code on dog licensing precedence over state law, although there isn't much difference between the two.

Visit a licensed veterinarian and have your dog vaccinated with a rabies vaccine approved by the U.S. Department of Agriculture for use on dogs.
