Ticks can be found anywhere and are more widespread during the spring and fall. However, they are found year round in warmer climates, therefore, your dog needs to be protected from ticks whenever exposure to them is possible. There are many different options for preventing ticks, ranging from a flea and tick collar to topical medications. Some topical tick preventative medications claim to be safe for use on pregnant dogs, yet, as with humans, it is inadvisable to use drugs on your dog, during pregnancy, unless absolutely necessary. There are natural ways to treat pregnant dogs for ticks.

Pour 16 ounces of water into a spray bottle.
