Instructions
Fill the eye dropper with the drops. Instruct your assistant to hold the dog's front legs and chest firmly. The less the dog is able to squirm, the easier it will be to give the drops.
Hold the dropper in your dominant hand. Rest the hand holding the dropper on top of the dog's head.
Spread open the dog's eyelid with your other hand, then carefully squeeze out the drops into the eye. Give the amount of drops indicated in the instructions with the medication.
Close and open the dog's eye several times to spread the medication around.
How do I Use Sodium Cromoglycate Eye Drops on Dogs?
Sodium cromoglycate drops are used to relieve allergies and hay fever-like symptoms. Veterinarians can prescribe special sodium cromoglycate drops for dogs that are experiencing allergies. Administering these drops to your dog will require patience. Be sure to soothe and calm your dog the entire time. Once the drops have been administered, praise your dog for being so good and give it a treat. This will encourage your dog not to be afraid of the eye drops. You will need someone to hold the dog during the process.
