Revolution is a monthly topical medication that prevents fleas, ticks, and heartworms in dogs and cats. Applied to the skin on the base of the animal's neck, Revolution works to kill parasites on contact, before they can latch on and lay eggs. Revolution is available by prescription only from a veterinarian, and is approved for use in dogs at least six weeks old and cats at least eight weeks old.
