How to Kill Flea Eggs

There is nothing worse than a home being infected with fleas. Once fleas are in, it's time to take a hard line in terms of flea control. The best method to control fleas requires getting rid of the eggs, too.

Things You'll Need

  • Pen
  • Paper
  • Vacuum
  • Mop
  • Flea powder or collar
  • Flea bombs
  • Yard granules

Instructions

    • 1

Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum and clean on a regular basis. Once eggs are laid on a pet, the eggs will fall off whenever the pet moves.

    • 2

Try flea powders, flea dips and flea collars on your pet to help control fleas.

    • 3

Employ stronger tactics in your home to kill the eggs, such as flea bombs (aerosol). You will need at least two, depending on the size of your house. Sprays and powders that cover the house in any area where the pet has been are also available.

    • 4

Treat the yard where your pet spends the most time with granules and sprays. These methods usually work for four to six months.

    • 5

Repeat these steps if they don't work the first time. Your best bet is to do all methods of flea control on the same day.
