Go to your doctor for treatment for demodex mites. He may prescribe Ivermectin, a treatment for skin problems including rosacea and demodecicosis. A prescription from your doctor is needed for Ivermectin. You can take it orally before a meal with an 8-oz. glass of water.
Use tea tree oil to treat demodex mites. Tea tree oil is used often in homeopathic medicine for healing cuts and burns. You can buy the oil online as well as at your local pharmacy. Use products such as shampoos and skin lotions that have tea tree oil included in the ingredients to help treat demodex mites, or use 100 percent tea tree oil.
Spread Elimite Cream on infected areas. Use Elimite Cream that contains permethrin to treat demodex mites. A prescription is required to purchase Elimite Cream. Be aware that Elimite Cream can cause a reaction on some people.
