  • Small aquarium power filter
  • Stainless-steel, straight-sided pail or bowl, 7 inches deep

      Set the stainless-steel bowl or pail on your floor near an electrical outlet.

      Hang the aquarium power filter over the edge of container. With a power filter, there's no need to purchase a separate pump that will circulate the water through the filter.

      Fill the container with water above the water intake nozzle of the filter.

      Plug the filter into an outlet.
