If your dog has been scratching his ears, whining, behaving abnormally, and his ears are red on the inside and warm to the touch, he may have a yeast infection in one or both ears. Dogs who swim a lot are prone to yeast infections in the ears because yeast grows in warm, moist places. If the infection truly is severe, if there is pain, swelling, and fluid, take him to a veterinarian for a consultation. Then you may decide to treat him naturally at home.

Instructions
Treating Yeast Ear Infections in Dogs
Dilute 1/4 cup white vinegar with 3/4 cup warm water.
Fill the dog's ear canal with the solution and let it soak for a few minutes. Massage the base of the ear to make sure the canal is totally immersed.
Empty the ear and dry the inside completely with cotton swabs.
Repeat this process several times per week until you and your veterinarian agree the problem has been solved.
