Yeast infections are common in dogs, but there are many cheap and very easy ways to cure such problems without having to visit the vet.
-
Internal and External
-
There are two types of yeast infections, both of which can be easily remedied at home. Curing internal yeast infections usually involves simply feeding your dog household items, and curing external yeast infections simply involves rubbing the infected areas with solutions made at home.
Internal: Raw Apple Cider
-
Feeding your dog 2 tsp. of raw apple cider a day will often cure a yeast infection. It must be "raw" apple cider with no added sugar. Added sugar will add to the yeast infection.
Internal: Lemon Juice
-
Lemon juice will cure an internal yeast infection in dogs. Feed your dog 2 tsp. a day until condition disappears.
Internal: Yogurt
-
Sugar-free organic yogurt will cure internal yeast infections. Again ,it must be sugar-free or it will add to the infection. Feed your pet 2 tbsp. a day.
External: White Vinegar
-
Mix white vinegar and water in a solution that is three parts water to one part vinegar. Rinse infected areas on the skin.
External: Apple Cider Vinegar
-
Make a 50/50 mix of water and vinegar, and wipe down infected areas. This should be repeated until condition improves.
