Frontline products are designed to provide flea and tick control for dogs and cats. Frontline kills existing fleas within 24 hours of application and continues to provide protection for one month. Frontline Top Spot and Frontline Plus have both been approved for use on nursing dogs. Both products provide flea and tick control, but Frontline Plus has an extra ingredient that kills not only adult fleas but also their eggs and larvae. Follow these steps to protect your nursing dog from fleas and ticks.

Instructions
Obtain the appropriate Frontline product based on your dog's weight. You can purchase it at your veterinarian's office.
Holding the vial in the upright position, snap off the top.
Separate the fur on your dog's back between the shoulder blades to reveal the dog's skin.
Slowly apply all of the the medicine onto your dog's back in that one spot. Make sure that you release the Frontline a little at a time so that the liquid has a chance to soak into the skin.
Do not bathe your nursing dog for 24 to 48 hours after applying the medicine.
